How folks here use pipe tobacco pouches? I tend to use them almost exclusively for trips out of the house, and any left over from a say a day out, gets either smoked up or rejarred back at home.

What's your habit and preference? You can specify multiple responses in order to address both preferred uses and preferred type.

Yeah Ivan, I have one as well. I find though that outdoors here, with our "breezes" at times, it just does not work as well as a pouch. I like to keep the tobacco in the container..:D The winds here though, are not of the same mind at times.

These are the only ones I've ever used. I have one pouch for each type of tobacco (Burley, Va/Va-Per, English & Aros).

I don't use em.
If I'm gonna be out, I'll put a ration in an empty tin.

I keep a roll up here for short trips in the truck and for keeping a certain blend in all the time.

Usually have two pouches handy. One for the OTC burleys I smoke during the day and one for Walnut that I grab instead. My tinned or jarred tobaccos usually are smoked only in the evening when I'm on the computer.

I'm as classy as your are then---Do the pouches preserve the baccy longer or is it a preference thing.

I've already answer the poll, but to update, I use roll up pouches for those aromatics that are wet. I find that placing them in pouches and putting the pouches in my desk drawer helps them dry out faster. I'm referring to OTC blends and Altadis blends which get be very wet, especially Altadis.
