Thread: plug making?

    Default plug making?

Should be getting about 10 lbs of flue-cured VA leaf from a farmer. Any thoughts about making a decent VA plug from it?

Is the tobacco completely cured and fermented when you receive it?

A hydraulic press and some sort of a box mold to press it in would be a start.
Heres some articles that might be some help in processing the leaf, toppings, casings etc.

Ashauler: It will be flue cured when I get it.....that entails subjecting the leaf to heat in a curing barn for several days, to color cure it. I think it will need further work.

Lone Star: Thanks for the links!
