I haven't tried this one, but I have smoked a tin of McCranie's Red Ribbon ("prime 2000 red Va.") and loved it. I have heard from various sources that these two are one and the same. (McClelland tins the Red Ribbon for McCranie.)

True? If they are the same, it would certainly make sense to buy the 5100 in bulk instead of tins of the Red Ribbon.

When I was checking 5100 out, I read where it and Red Ribbon 2000 were very similar, but not "one and the same".

Buy some and let us know! I have never tried any McCranies, so I couldn't say.

The McCranie's was all gone 6 months ago, so I can't compare them side by side, but will try the 5100.

It's one of my favorite tobaccos.
